I wish I had done this earlier.
I wish we had started to put this plan in place years ago.
Why did we not do this 10 years ago.
I hear this all the time. Putting in place plans is not something all of us like to do.
Some of us simply ignore our finances and just go about our business. Some know they can do more but think its too hard. While others simply tell themselves they will get to it later.
But often it’s too late.
I am here to tell you you can do better.
You deserve better.
Stop telling yourself you are too busy to start.
Just start.
Ok, I get it. Life is busy. Running a business is hard. pressures from clients and team. Cash flow pressures. Not to mention mixing this in with family life.
But there is a way.
A way you can just start with your financial plan.
And it’s called – Starting with the end in mind.
Simply put, it is getting a piece of paper and writing down what your life would look like if you were able to achieve everything you wanted.
Forget the money for a second.
What would you be doing each day?
Who would you be working with in business?
Who are your clients?
What attributes does you team have?
Where are you living?
How many holidays do you have each year?
How do you want to go about your life each and every day?
By answering these questions, you begin to form a picture in your mind.
Napoleon Hill in his book Think and Grow Rich spoke about the power of fixing your mind on what you desire – (you can read more about that in my book Freedom Assets).
It is a very powerful driver.
Once you know what you want, you are excited by what the future looks like.
Only then will you begin to work on the financial parts of your plan.
If you start with the end in mind, you can work back to today and begin to break down your ideal life creation into small achievable parts.
There is a reason why people don’t achieve financial goals.
One of the main reasons is that they never start because it is all too hard.
Start with the end in mind, become excited by what your future could look like and then start to put some financial goals around this plan.
There is never a good time to start.
The time to start is now.
